Sunshine followed the Southern Humboldt all stars as they traveled this weekend to Eureka to compete in the District 26 9/10 All Star tournament. Eureka’s Redwood Empire hosted the tournament at their beautiful fields in Cutten, giving the Southern Humboldt players a great opportunity to play on a bigger stage.   Full Story

College of the Redwoods football staff is offering a non-contact youth football camp for boys entering 3rd through 8th grades. Camp runs from July 20 - July 24 from 9 am to 5 pm. Cost is $150 per camper.   Full Story

The Garberville-Redway area is gearing up for a huge 4th of July celebration this weekend. Live music will start at 5 p.m. and continue until the spectacular fireworks display begins at dark.
