Author and former College of the Redwoods student Margot Genger will visit CR on March 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Room HU 110 on the Eureka campus.
Genger’s book “Shift Happens — Breakdowns During Life’s Long Hauls” is the story of her life as a long-haul truck driver who struggles with mental illness and alcoholism.
Genger’s poems have been published in Humboldt State University’s Toyon and HSU’s “Poems from the Pocket” and by the California Association for the Gifted Quarterly. Her chapbooks, “Middle Chapter” and “Before Water Falls,” are available at the Humboldt County Library.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Copies of her book will be available for purchase, and the event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Professor David Holper at 707-476-4370 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
