Several rock slides occurred on state Route 96 overnight, Caltrans reported today.
“The road was closed overnight due to the slide activity” west of Happy Camp, Caltrans District 2 tweeted Friday morning.
The slide remains “active and rocks are falling down intermittently.”
Photos shared by Caltrans showed heavily damaged shipping containers, one of which appeared to have a large rock inside of it.
