The St. Bernard’s football team won’t have any trouble hitting the highway as the Crusaders head down to Yuba City to take on East Nicolaus in the NorCal region state playoff game Friday night.

The Crusaders received a police escort on their way out of town Thursday afternoon as law enforcement officers guided the team up Harris street and over to 5th street before sending the team off onto the 101 North.

Friday’s game, the Division 6-AA state semifinal game, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at River Valley High School in Yuba City.

A win Friday night would send the Crusaders to their second state championship game in program history. The Crusaders last clinched a state championship game berth in 2015, and went on to win a state title.
