A Eureka woman accused of murdering and torturing a woman on July 4 had another charge lodged against her Wednesday.

Deputy district attorney David Moutrie filed a motion to add one count of assault with a deadly weapon to a list of charges against Daniella Moore, 40, who was being represented by deputy public defender Casey Russo. She was previously charged with murder and torture related to the death of 19-year-old Eureka resident Hannah Hayhurst.

Judge Timothy Canning granted the motion after Russo said he had no opposition to the motion with the caveat that there be no prejudice if he were to make a motion later to sever.

Russo reiterated that Moore was pleading not guilty to all counts.

The date to set the preliminary hearing for the case is scheduled for Nov. 25.

Moore remains in custody and is held without bail.
