Forum addresses plan to counteract county climate impact

  • Connor McGuigan, a CivicSpark Fellow with the Humboldt County Planning Department, talks with one of the groups at a Humboldt County Climate Action Plan Forum at Humboldt State University on Tuesday afternoon, part of HSU’s Earth Week. Students, faculty and staff listened to a presentation about the regional Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and then had group sessions on ideas for local efforts to reduce emissions. The workshop and future ones like it for the general public provide participants with an opportunity to give input on how climate change is addressed as a community.
