The Ferndale Community Choir is celebrating spring with a diverse selection of sacred music to enliven heart and soul.

Concerts begin on Easter Sunday at 7:30 p.m. against the restored backdrop of the Ferndale Catholic Church, 546 Berding St., Ferndale.

The next concert is on April 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 1428 H St., Eureka. The final concert is April 28 at 3 p.m. at the Ferndale Community Church, 712 Main St., Ferndale.

The choir, finishing out its 49th season, is directed by Betty Diehl. Concerts are presented during the Christmas season and in the spring. Accompanist Dana Christen plays piano and will be joined at the piano by Sharon Welton as the choir presents two pieces with four-handed piano. Janet Appleton will join the choir on flute and Pat Person will play oboe.

The choir will sing music ranging from spirituals to ancient harmonies and contemporary works.
