The community is invited to the Lutheran Church of Arcata’s “Legendary Easter Breakfast” from 7:30 to 9:45 a.m. Easter Sunday at the church, 151 East 16th St. in Arcata.

While there is no set charge for breakfast, diners will be encouraged to give as much financial support as they are able through free-will donations. Proceeds, beyond expenses, gathered at the Easter breakfast will be shared by Arcata House Partnership and Mision Vida Nueva, an orphanage in Guatemala.

The breakfast menu includes home-roasted ham carved to order; freshly scrambled eggs; golden-crispy hash browns; hot buttered toast; and an array of homemade pastries, Danishes, coffee cakes, muffins and breakfast breads. There will also be fresh fruit, freshly-swirled orange juice and “Church Coffee,” as well as hot tea and cold water.

Breakfast will be served tableside by congregational youth and volunteers.

The church will have two Easter Sunday services, at 7 and 10 a.m. All are welcome for the breakfast, the church services, or both.
