Eureka police open homicide investigation after body of deceased man found in E Street apartment

News release from the Eureka Police Department:

On Friday at about 1:30 p.m., the Eureka Police Department responded to an apartment at the 300 block of E Street for the report of a deceased male. An autopsy was performed on Saturday and the death was ruled a homicide. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further details into the manner or cause of death will be released at this time.

The deceased male has been identified as 64-year-old Raymond Prudhomme of Eureka. No suspects have been identified at this time.
