A new show at the Westhaven Center for the Arts, “A World in Color,” presents the photographs of Nancy Rae Burrow and Alan Samuel. An opening reception will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

“My journey into the colorful world of creative photography has been a blessing,” Burrow said. “Each one of my photos are taken and shared on my Facebook page, Nancy Rae Dina Photography, with uplifting and positive messages … Photography, creativity and meditation have been the best things to ever happen to me.”

Describing his works in this show, Samuel said, “In 1995, I took a unique pilgrimage with a friend and teacher Lama Lodu Rimpoche to his homeland in West Sikkim, India, and his home monastery, Rumtek. Five weeks of seeing the culture of the Tibetan Buddhist — many monasteries, many people, many places and hundreds of pictures — the people, places, the sounds and visual experience were unsurpassed.”

Westhaven Center for the Arts is located at 501 S. Westhaven Drive in Trinidad. The show runs through Feb. 24. For more information, go to westhavencenter.org or call 707-677-9493.
