Editor’s note: The following is a list of the board, commission and council meetings that are scheduled this week around Humboldt County.

Arcata Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St., Arcata

• The commission will consider a design review permit for Kaneko at 1550 G St.

• In a public hearing, the commission will consider a design review permit for Gluck-Aldag at 1074 13th St.

• The commission will finalize its annual report to be presented to the city council.

Humboldt Bay Fire Joint Powers Authority

When: Second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m.

Where: Humboldt Bay Fire Conference Room, 533 C Street Eureka,

• The board will consider establishing fees for the fire department responses to excessive false fire alarms.

• The board will review and consider a contract between the JPA and the Humboldt Community Services District regarding confined space and rescue operations. The contract would extend a previous agreement through 2022.

Humboldt Bay Municipal Water Board

When: Second Thursday of each month at 9 a.m.

Where: 828 Seventh St., Eureka

• The board will consider a dunes “climate ready vulnerability and adaptation” study

• The board will discuss water resource planning.

• The board will discuss cannabis grows affecting the Mad River watershed.

• The board will review the county Planning Commission’s impending zone reclassifications in accordance with the county’s general plan.

• The board will discuss a plan for Blue Lake and Fieldbrook community development.

• The board will discuss Steelhead Days participation.

• The board will discuss a Grants-Quigga implementation project.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month

Where: Supervisors chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka

• The board will consider certifying the results of the Nov. 6 election.

• The board will consider an agreement with United Indian Health Services to assist with CalFresh outreach and support activities.

• The board will consider memorializing the appointment of Amy Nielsen as county administrative officer.

• The board will consider adopting a compensation plan for elected and appointed department heads.

• The board will consider allocating a code enforcement manager to the Planning and Building code enforcement and budget unit.

• The board will consider agreeing to consultant services from Ghirardelli Associates regarding construction services for the William Creek bridge replacement project.

• The board will continue considering zone reclassifications in accordance with the county general plan.

• The board will receive an update from the cannabis ad hoc committee, comprised of supervisors Estelle Fennell and Ryan Sundberg.

• The board will consider reclassification of the Thompson Zone in the Willow Creek area.

Humboldt County Planning Commission

When: First Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Board of Supervisors chambers, 825 5th St., Eureka

• The Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District is seeking multiple permits for allowing non-coastal interim uses to be allowed at sites that are designated for coastal-dependent uses, including the former pulp mill site in Samoa.

Trinidad City Council

When: Second (and fourth) Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Trinidad Town Hall 409 Trinity St., Trinidad

• The council will swear in newly elected members to the city council.

• The council will consider authorizing scope of work with the city engineer for water rate analysis and storm water project design services.

• The council will discuss LCP amendments related to the Cal Fire water line extension.

• The council will discuss appointing planning commissioners as well as the city manager vacancy.
