The Fortuna High boy’s basketball team kept its undefeated start to the 2018 season intact Tuesday night with a 76-65 win on the road at Granada.

Fortuna (5-0), despite having just seven active players on its roster and only rotating six players, has by a large margin won five straight games to open the season.

Bradley Willis lead the Huskies in Tuesday’s win with 26 points and his brother, Donald Willis, finished with 15. Drew Gillete had another strong performance as well with 24 points.

Fortuna also beat Lower Lake on the road 73-30 on Monday. Gillete had 28 in that game and Bradley Willis, 16.

“To be honest, I’m not very surprised with how we have started,” Fortuna head coach Tony Miles said. “Even though our current roster is small, we have four of our five starters from last season and these guys are just so smart, and they love playing ball together. It’s a pleasure to coach.”

Fortuna will take the court again this Thursday when it faces Montgomery (1-1) in the first round of the Arcata Invitational Basketball Tournament.
