The night before Dennis Hof was found dead at one of his notorious Nevada brothels, the Donald Trump-inspired GOP candidate for his state’s legislature basked in the company of fans and celebrity friends at his joint 72nd birthday party and campaign rally.
With Hof at the event Monday night at the Pahrump Nugget Casino were such one-time headliners as aging porn star Ron Jeremy, former “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss, and Joe Arpaio, the disgraced ex-Maricopa County sheriff pardoned by President Trump, BuzzFeed News reported.
The self-described “Trump of Pahrump” held court on stage, where he sang a duet with Jeremy, a close friend. He also delighted the crowd by putting in calls to Trump supporters, Republican operative Roger Stone and Fox News host Tucker Carlson, BuzzFeed News said.
In an interview with The Blast, the legendary porn star said he accompanied Hof and his entourage back to his Love Ranch brothel, outside Carson City. Jeremy insisted Hof didn’t drink or do any drugs before retiring for the night with a “sexy Latin girl.”
Jeremy discovered Hof’s body the next morning. He had gone to check on his friend because the two were scheduled to visit a retirement home as part of his campaign. Jeremy said Hof was lying motionless, his eyes were half open and his skin was “cold to the touch.” Emergency responders, summoned by a 911 call, declared Hof dead.
Thus ends one of the more colorful personalities in celebrity culture, an entrepreneur who took advantage of Nevada laws regarding legalized prostitution and parlayed it into global fame.
He was the star of an HBO show, “Cathouse,” wrote a best-seller “The Art of the Pimp” and lectured at Oxford University in England, Trinity College Dublin and the Sorbonne in France. With these endeavors and others, he kept his feet planted firmly in both the “high” and “low” culture aspects of American society and celebrity, enjoying friendships and professional connections with national politicians, sports figures and those comfortable with tabloid-style fame.
In addition to Jeremy, Fleiss and Arpaio, here are some of those other famous and infamous connections, according to the Reno Gazette Journal and other publications.
Not surprisingly, Hof considered Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner to be one of his friends and heroes, tweeting this when Hefner died in 2017:

Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton:
Two of Hof’s Bunny Ranch girls had their pictures taken with former President Bill Clinton during a charity gala in Los Angeles in 2014, the Reno Journal Gazette reported. The publication also shared a photo of “Hookers for Hillary,” employees at Hof’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch who endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Lamar Odom:Khloe Kardashian’s beleaguered ex-husband, one-time Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom, garnered Hof lots of headlines when he was found unconscious at one of his brothels in 2015. Odom had suffered a near-fatal overdose of cocaine and opiates. After falling into a coma, he had 12 strokes and six heart attacks, but recovered, saying later. “All my doctors that see me say I’m a walking miracle.”
In March 2017, Dennis Hof announced plans to open a sports-themed brothel in honor of the Oakland team moving to Las Vegas in the next few years. The opening of the “Pirate’s Booty Sports Brothel” would coincide with the opening of the team’s new stadium in 2020 and would be located in outside Las Vegas, in one of the Nevada counties where prostitution is legal, the Las Vegas Sun reported. A VIP section would be made available to Raiders players and other high-profile athletes.

Hof was prepared to offer the accused double-murder and convicted robber Simpson a lucrative job greeting guests at his Moonlite Bunny Ranch when he was paroled from a Nevada prison in 2017.
“We got the limo all ready,” Hof said in a phone call to the Reno Gazette-Journal. “We’re making the banners. We’ll come and pick him up at the prison if he’ll allow it.”
Hof said he was prepared to offer Simpson a $100,000 salary, as well as room and board and “at least one girl a week,” the Gazette Journal reported.
But the working girls at Hof’s establishments balked at the idea of having Simpson in their midst, citing their concerns about safety and his one-time association with the Kardashians, through his late friend and attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., according to TMZ.
When Simpson was paroled in October 2017, after serving nine years for a Las Vegas heist, he reportedly stayed in Nevada but he headed to Las Vegas, not accepting Hof’s otherwise generous offer.
