College of the Redwoods will be offering an array or personal enrichment classes this fall:
Friday evenings beginning October 26 at 5:30 p.m. Classes are intended to aid students with conversational development in a fun and quick setting.
With an overall focus on health and coordination, classes will be held at the Jefferson Center at 8 Clark St, Eureka on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Nov. 1.
Classes will be held at the Eureka campus at 7351 Tompkins Hill Rd. A Create a Cutting Board class will be offered in addition to a Shaker Oval Boxes. In both classes, students will be able to create and take home a finished project.
The Mushroom Fair will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Arcata Community Center. Mushroom identification and fieldtrip workshops in Eureka and Del Norte are also scheduled. The Eureka class is in partnership with the Humboldt Bay Mycological Society (HBMS) and scheduled for Saturday, November 10 with a field trip on private land Sunday, Nov. 11. Class fee includes a membership to the HBMS. The Del Norte mushroom class will include classroom instruction and a field trip on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Crescent City.
