Editor’s note: The following is a list of the city council, commission and board meetings that are scheduled this week around Humboldt County.

Arcata Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St., Arcata

• The commission will consider approving the development of three two-story buildings totaling more than 40,000 square feet in floor area at the over four-acre Axel property on West End Road.

Blue Lake City Council

When: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.

Where: Skinner Store Building behind City Hall

• The council will hear a report on Measure O, the November ballot measure that would continue a county-wide half-cent sales tax to fund local emergency services.

• The council will consider moving its meeting times to begin earlier and may also consider consolidating meetings to occur once a month instead of two, having researched the prevalence of second-meeting cancellations across the county.

Fortuna City Council

When: Special meeting on Monday at 4 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 621 11th St., Fortuna

• The council will enter a closed session to discuss recruiting a new city manager.

Fortuna Planning Commission

When: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.

• The commission will consider amending its zoning map and zoning municipal code.

Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District

When: The fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.

Where: Woodley Island Marina meeting room, Eureka

• The commissioners will meet in closed session to discuss existing litigation.

• The district will consider awarding a contract for dredging the Woodley Island Marina and the Fields Landing Boat Yard.

• The district will consider adopting a resolution supporting Redwood Coast Energy Authority’s offshore wind lease application.

• The commissioners will consider canceling the regular November and December board meetings.

Humboldt Bay Municipal Water Board

When: Special meeting Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.

Where: 828 Seventh St., Eureka

• The board will meet in closed session to discuss potential litigation.

• The board will discuss new zoning districts proposed to be added in Humboldt County.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors

When: Every Tuesday except for the 5th Tuesday of a month

Where: Supervisors chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka

• The board will consider sending a letter to the state Department of Justice requesting continued “highest priority” analysis of the David Josiah Lawson case. Lawson was fatally stabbed at an Arcata party in April 2017.

• The board will discuss either acquiring or leasing the Rio Dell branch library.

• The board will hold a public hearing to accept proposals for the sale of property at 2956 D Street, Eureka.
