Mindfulness class offered at CR Garberville site

College of the Redwoods is offering a mindfulness class at the Garberville instructional site on Tuesdays from Jan. 9 to Feb. 13.

The class is based on a 2,500-year-old tradition and will help participants deal with stress, anxiety, depression and chronic pain. It will help with concentration and productivity.

The class is taught by certified mindful schools instructor Flurina Niggli. The cost of the class is $115. To register, call 707-476-4500.

Shamanic healing class offered in Garberville

A four-hour class, “Cultivating Authentic Power,” will be offered at Eel River Holistics in Garberville on Jan. 24 from noon to 4 p.m. Practitioner Heather O’Connell will lead the class on reclaiming power. The class will explore how to pick up one’s power, how to use it, and it will include shamainc drum journeys.
