OAKLAND — A 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were fatally shot Monday night outside a West Oakland home, police said Tuesday.
The names of the victims were not released pending notification of relatives.
Police believe the two killed were friends who lived in other parts of Oakland and may have been visiting someone in the areas.
The shooting was reported about 8:56 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of 32nd Street.
Police responding to reports of gunfire found the two victims shot outside a residence. They were pronounced dead at the scene at 9:19 p.m. by paramedics.
Police were trying to determine if the shooter fled on foot or in a car.

The two killings brought the city’s homicide total for the year to 92, six more than all of last year.
