Redway >> Redwoods Rural Health Center is excited to offer mobile dental services for our community.

We will begin offering services at Redway Elementary School on Thursdays this spring. Comprehensive dental services, ranging from oral health exams to restorative dental care, will be available for children from preschool through sixth grade.

No child will be turned away. There are no eligibility requirements to participate, except parental consent, and all services will be provided to students at no out-of-pocket cost. RRHC accepts most insurance, including Medi-Cal, and will request a copy of the child’s insurance information. Students’ health care coverage will be billed, when available.

The deadline to register for dental services at Redway Elementary is March 6. If you’re interested in signing-up your child for mobile dental services, registration forms were mailed to parents/guardians of Redway Elementary students and are available at the Redway Family Resource Center (FRC) or RRHC Dental Clinic. Completed forms can be returned to the Redway Elementary School office or the Southern Humboldt FRC. We will try to accommodate as many children as possible.

After parents/guardians register, RRHC will mail a dental packet to your home. No services can be provided for your child unless RRHC receives a completed and signed packet.

In the future, RRHC plans to expand the program to include additional school sites and frontier locations in our service area. This program was made possible with grant support from the McLean Foundation and the North Coast Grantmaking Partnership.

If you have questions or are interested in learning more about this program, contact Barb Taylor, RRHC Dental Operations Manager, at 707-923-4313.
