EUREKA >> You are invited to a celebration for Spanish-speaking families in Humboldt County. “Celebrating our Health / Festejando Nuestra Salud,” a health fair for Spanish speakers, will take place Sunday, Oct. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. The event takes place at the Redwood Acres Fairground at 3750 Harris Street, in Eureka. “Celebrating Our Health” is a chance for the whole family to have fun while getting important health information. The day will include:
• Free food from Rita’s
• Music from the band La Nueva Ilusi?n
• Children’s activities
• Free health screenings and flu vaccinations
• CalFresh Outreach and Enrollment assistance
• General health and resource information
• A free bike helmet and bike safety lesson for kids
• Raffle with great prizes
“Celebrating Our Health” is one of many activities planned for Binational Health Week. This year Binational Health Week is October 4-18. sBinational Health Week has become one of the largest efforts in the Americas to improve the health and well-being of underserved Latino population living in the United States and Canada.
