A pancake breakfast of the covered bridge followed with an annual festival farther up Butte Creek Canyon are on tap Sunday.
From 7-10 a.m. the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association will be hosting the 49th annual pancake breakfast to raise funds to preserve the old bridge.
Breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee will be served from the Butte County sheriff”s Capt. Bob Pancake Wagon.The cost is $7.50, $5 for children 10 and under.
The Pub Scouts will play, and there”ll be a car show from the Model A Club.
The the action moves to the Centerville Colman Museum and Schoolhouse for the annual 49er Faire
There”ll be fine arts and crafts, music by Coopers Bluff & Friends, gold panning and cemetery tours among other things.
The day will also feature a barbecue and beverages, plant sale, weaving, shopping in a country store, pack mules, children”s games and other old-time activities, plus free parking and a shuttle bus.
Grand prize drawings and a silent auction will be held at the site, 13548 Centerville Road, Chico.
Sponsored by residents of the community and the Centerville Recreation & Historical Association to raise funds for upkeep of the museum and schoolhouse.
