CHICO — A house and a barn burned Saturday in Paradise and Chico, respectively.

Firefighters responded to the burning house on the 200 block of Foothill Road shortly before 2 a.m., according to a press release from Cal Fire-Butte County. The barn caught fire on the 1100 block of Henshaw Avenue at about 1:30 a.m.

The barn fire was contained quickly and didn”t spread.

One person was injured in the house fire and transported to Feather River Hospital for burn injuries, according to the release. The fire in Paradise spread to a vehicle in the garage and about 1/10 acre of vegetation burned by the time firefighters contained it.

Paradise Volunteer Fire Company 1 and Magalia Volunteer Fire Company 33 helped fight the residential structure fire blaze.

North Chico Volunteer Fire Company 42 and the Chico Fire Department responded with Cal Fire-Butte County in the barn burner.
