Jared Stidham scored 14 points as the Chico High boys basketball team beat Shasta 64-46 Friday to advance in the Enterprise tournament.

Uvonte Person added 13 points and Devin Bauer scored 10 for the Panthers (8-3), who will play Foothill in the championship at 6:30 p.m. today.

Hamilton 49, Greenville 35

Tim Bekendam scored 13 points and Austin Burbank had 10 as the Braves beat Greenville in a consolation semifinal of the Liberty Christian tournament in Redding.

Hamilton (3-8) outscored Greenville 21-7 in the third quarter. The Braves play Fremont Christian at 1:30 p.m. today in the consolation final of the tourney.

Orland 52, Dixon 49

Kavi Ram scored 20 points to help Orland advance in the Dixon tournament.

The Trojans (6-5) will play today in the tourney final at 8 p.m.


Hamilton 59, Hayfork 48

Nicole Gordon scored 26 points to lead the Braves past Hayfork in the Liberty Christian tournament.

Justine McCorkle added 16 points for Hamilton (7-4), which will play in the championship against Mercy at 6 p.m. today.


Natomas tournament

Chico”s Alexis Atkinson took second place in the 120-pound weight class of the No Guts, No Glory tournament, which is hosted by Natomas High.

Atkinson went 2-1 on the day, including a first-round pin, before losing in the final by a 9-4 decision.

Pleasant Valley sophomore Kia Farrell earned third place in the 137-pound division.

Farrell went 3-1 on the day with two pins before taking a 5-1 decision over Kyana Sanders of Center in the third-place match.
