DURHAM — Ken Hodge will show visitors how to grow table and wine grapes in a small backyard setting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
People will learn how to grow grapes without a trellis or arbor. Grapes can be grown on a single stake as a small tree. Jeremy Hodge will actually be planting a new blueberry grape and staking it to demonstrate how it is done.
All the cultural practices of growing grapes will be covered as well as overcoming pest problems.
These educational clinics are always free and refreshments will be served.
