According to the National Weather Service, the unusual and unseasonably cool upper-level low pressure system, that brought rain on Tuesday, will linger in the area for the rest of today.
Showers are possible and there is even a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.
Mostly cloudy skies are anticipated, with a high in the middle 70s.
By Thursday the skies will clear, and cool and damp will become sunny and warmer, with high approaching 90.
Friday the clear skies will remain and the high is expected to jump into the mid 90s. Thetrend will continue at least through Monday, July 4, and by then the mercury should soar well above the century mark.
