Art from the area

The Orland Art Center June show will feature nine artists from both Butte and Glenn counties. They are Mary Amicarella, Tamara Bonet, Beth Bjorklund, Tim Lehor, Lindsay Neuhardt, Pratima Patel, George Turnbull, Betsy van Tol, and Carol van Tol. It is a multi-media show with ceramics, collages, watercolors, acrylics and oils. The show is titled “Food, Flowers and Fine Art.” For more information visit www.orlandartcenter.com.

Art and theater meet

CHICO — The Annual Butte County Watercolor Society Member”s Exhibition is going on now through June 26 at the Chico Theater Company, 166 W. Eaton Road #F, Chico. Gallery hours are Noon-6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Vintage fun

The 9th Annual Country Faire and Threshing Bee at the Patrick Ranch Museum, 10381 Midway, on June 11 and 12, transports visitors back a century in time to the wheat harvests of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Visitors are treated to the sights and sounds of antique binders, threshing machines, trucks and tractors. The Threshing Bee experience is enhanced by vintage bee exhibits working award winning stock dogs, period craft booths representative museum booths, a county art show by Plein Air Artists. There will be expanded tour at no extra charge of the first floor of the historic 1877 Glenwood Farmhouse.
