OROVILLE — Two men being sought in a Chico homicide and captured Saturday in Gilroy have been transferred from Santa Clara County to the Butte County Jail.

Jail officials said Antonio Montes Linares, 19, and Timothy Miles Nunez, 18, are each charged with first-degree murder and are being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

The men are accused of killing Chico resident Jose Barajas-Sanchez, 21, then setting his body on fire under a bridge south of Chico.

A possible gang connection is being investigated in the case.
