CHICO — Historical photos of furnishings within the old Joss House and some of the history of Chico”s two Chinatowns will be the program during an annual meeting Sunday of Chico Heritage Association.

The program will include an overview of the history of the Chinese in Chico, with Sanborn maps and photographs of Chico”s two Chinatowns. It will include information and slides presented by retired Chico State University Professor Keigh Johnson on Chico”s Joss House, or temple, that was on West Eighth and Cherry streets in New Chinatown.

The program will be part of the association”s 30th anniversary meeting. There will be a brief business meeting, election of board members, and an update on the City of Chico Preservation Ordinance.
