SACRAMENTO, Calif.—A Sacramento County jury has convicted a professional mixed martial arts fighter in a domestic violence case.

Prosecutors say Kyacey Uscola was found guilty Friday of battery on a spouse or cohabitant, battery with serious bodily injury and corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

The Sacramento Bee ( reports the 32-year-old Uscola has fought several professional fights for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Authorities say on June 15, 2013, he assaulted the mother of his child, leaving her with a punctured lung, eight broken ribs, two lumbar fractures and a life-threatening pancreas laceration.

His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 14 in Sacramento County Superior Court.

Uscola has a prior domestic violence conviction.
