The South Fork JV boys came out strong in the first quarter against Laytonville taking an 18-8 lead and they never looked back holding their lead the entire game.
The Cubs played great defense and with a 37-20 lead at halftime they were able to go deep into the bench to give playing time to all of their players.
The bench was able to play half of the third where they finished up 50-31 and all of the fourth winning by a final score of 64-44 showing that the team has depth.
”Laytonville’s got some really good players.” coach Todd Vandenack said, “They still got some points but a lot less than last time. It was a really good team effort.”
The JV boys go to McKinleyville on Tuesday where they will also be playing a freshman game and they travel to Ferndale on Friday.
