The South Fork varsity boys hosted the Laytonville Warriors on Tuesday. The Warriors got on the board first taking the lead 4-0, but after that it was all Cubs. South Fork rallied back with a 10-1 run and finished the first up 16-10, never relinquishing their lead.

The Cubs played great defense in the second. South Fork didn’t give up a single point for the first 4:45 of the quarter until a turnover in transition ended their 8-0 run. The Cubs struggled on offense putting up ten points in the quarter but they gave up only five and headed into the half up 26-15.

South Fork really found their offense in the second half putting up 32 points. The Cubs had the game in hand 42-24 at the end of the third quarter and were able to work in a lot of their players from the bench throughout the fourth. The Cubs won by a final score of 58-37.

The South Fork varsity boys play two games on the road this week traveling to McKinleyville on Tuesday and Ferndale on Friday.
