After all, the election is happening because our Constitution requires it. The musical itself is a fun-loving musical romp through the birth of this cherished document and the early years of the Supreme Court. Even "Paris Hilton" will make a cameo appearance, and learn a thing or two about the Bill of Rights.
This project has allowed Mr. Neiman’s class the opportunity to learn about our system of government and laws from the inside out, while also discussing important topics such as the ways in which this document protects civil liberties and the responsibilities that come with citizenship. This musical has also provided Room 5 with the opportunity to come together as a class in a cooperative effort to accomplish something much larger than each individual. Student buy-in has been simply overwhelming.
The class would like to take this opportunity to invite parents, guardians, relatives, school board members and the community in general to a free evening performance of our musical. This performance will be held at the Redway School stage on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 30. Curtains will open at 7 p.m. and the show will last about an hour. There is a morning performance beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the same day for the school and for parents who cannot attend the evening performance.
Regardless of your party affiliation, you will love this hilarious spin through U.S. history. Who knows? You might learn a thing or two between bursts of laughter and applause.
