Last week the children at Children’s House at Beginnings learned what to do in the event of an earthquake. They learned about and practiced "drop, cover and hold." They were visited by a local Briceland Volunteer Fire Department member, Eric Bower, who dressed in all of his gear, which can be very scary looking to children, to show the kids not to be afraid of emergency workers and that they are there to help.
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 10:18 a.m. Skyfish School and Children’s House will once again take part in the Great California Shake Out, a statewide earthquake drill that millions of people take part in.
