The College of the Redwoods Ninth Annual Dinner and Sports Auction raised more than $90,000 for the college’s athletics programs.

The event, held at Eureka’s Adorni Center on Aug. 9, honored Eureka city manager David Tyson, who was on CR’s intercollegiate swim team in the 1970s. He was inducted into the CR Alumni Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

”I was amazed and pleased with how many people came out to support CR,” said CR president Kathy Lehner. “To have 400 people attend and contribute more than $90,000 to CR’s sports programs shows how deeply the North Coast community is connected to College of the Redwoods.”
