An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) original adaptation of “The Princess and the Pea” on Monday, March 22 at the Leggett Valley School Gym from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are the Princess, the Pea, King and Queen Size of Riverdom, Storm King and Snow Queen of Glacierdom, the Prince, the mischievous Jack Frost, the citizens of Riverdom and Glacierdom, the Dust Bunnies, some wannabe Princesses, not to mention some meddling leprechauns. All students, ages Kindergarten through 12th grades, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 to 7:30 each day.

The Princess and the Pea will be presented on Friday, March 26 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at the Leggett Valley School Gym. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Leggett is presented locally by the Leggett Arts Alliance with support from Leggett Valley Unified School District.
