The Kiwanis of the Redwoods members and local parents worked together to put up a new bus stop for the kids on Upper Saw Mill Road and Alderpoint Road. Dan Thomas and Kelly Paine were instrumental in getting this project off the ground. Members of the Kiwanis met with Craig Parkinson of Parkinson’s Lumber in Redway and explained the situation and the material needed for the project, and as usual Craig helped us get the materials and the paint together for the job. In between the storms, Dan Thomas, Kelly Paine, John Earp, Six Madley, Rainbow Mountain Walker, and Doug Dale built the bus stop. Upon completion of the bus stop, Rainbow Mountain Walker, Casey Young and Robby Winant painted it. We would like to thank everyone involved in this project, including Doug Smith for the use of his generator. This project was a perfect example of people working together to make things better for all of our children.
