Meg Walkley, First 5 consultant, “Ask Omi,” will come to the Garberville Play Center on Monday, November 2, for parents to ask her questions about health, nutrition, social and emotional development and discipline. Meg’s credentials include over 30 years of experience working with children and families, along with her bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a Master of Social Work Degree. Meg will also be utilizing her network of community and global experts to ensure you are receiving answers based on current and sound practices as well as good common sense.
On Monday, November 9, nutrition educator Gina Paine will be presenting information to parents on sugars and additives in foods and how they work in the body. Lisa Henninger will have a food project to offer the children.
Jackie Hamilton from KEET TV will be bring Buddy the T. Rex from the new PBS show, Dinosaur Train on Monday, November 16. There will be fun activities for everyone.
