A traffic accident involving a big rig shut down U.S Highway 101 just north of Laytonville tonight.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers and Cal Fire personnel are on scene just north of Black Oak Ranch and awaiting a big rig tow truck to clear the roadway.

There is no estimated time of arrival for the tow or the opening of the highway.

Calls to the CHP were not immediately returned.

According to the CHP Incident page (http://cad.chp.ca.gov/Traffic.aspx), the accident was reported at 7:28 p.m. with the original call being a big rig and single vehicle accident.

No injuries have been reported from the accident involving four vehicles and the big rig.
