Inside Pacific Lotus is the same soothing, peaceful place to get a massage, sauna or foot treatment as it has always been.
Garrett took over ownership in January. She is a certified massage therapist and specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massage.
Garrett was born in Jerold Phelps Community Hospital and lived in Southern Humboldt until she was 10. Then she spent some years in Petaluma and some in Alaska.
Garrett credits her aunt with inspiring her to go to the National Holistic Institute in Petaluma to learn massage so she could do something she loves, and then she came back here to give back to the community.
Pacific Lotus has a loyal following of clients, and appointments can be made with Garrett by calling 923-1192. Walk-ins are also welcome, but Garrett said that until there are more therapists working there she has to put a sign on the door if a session is in progress.
Pacific Lotus is currently open five days a week and weekend appointments can be scheduled. Garrett hopes to be able to be open seven days a week.
Pacific Lotus has an infrared sauna and a foot-soak area. The spa has two treatment rooms for massage.
Garrett plans to rent out spaces for other therapists and is open to providing other kinds of healing and therapeutic modalities. She said she is willing to expand horizons in the healing arts.
Garrett wants to contribute to the wellbeing of the community, including offering a monthly drawing to thank her clients for their support. She also offers a buy five get one free special on infrared sauna.
