Garberville area California Highway Patrol Commander Adam Jager reported in a press release that although the weekend of June 13-15 was busy, the CHP were called to only four collisions that were related to the Redwood Run, and none of those were alcohol related.
He also stated that 16 alcohol and/or drug related arrests were made over the weekend.
”The Garberville CHP office was out in force with every available officer patrolling the roadways,” Jager stated. “The increase in DUI arrests and reduction in collisions can be attributed to the increase of officers patrolling the roadways.”
He also thanked the community for their efforts to drive safely during the busy period.
