The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people on Thursday, April 10, after serving two search warrants in Phillipsville. At about 7 a.m. Sheriff’s Deputies and agents from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force served the two warrants simultaneously at two residences at the Deer Horn Trailer Park. Inside one residence deputies and agents found 44 grams of methamphetamine, seven grams of mushrooms, three firearms, scales and drug packaging supplies, and two stolen chainsaws. Arrested at this residence were John Turkovich, 47, and Kathleen Miles, 48. They were booked for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, and providing a place for the distribution of a controlled substance. Turkovich and Miles each have a bail set at $30,000 and were expected to be arraigned Monday.
At the second residence deputies and agents found almost 22 grams of methamphetamine, 17.3 grams of concentrated cannabis, 14.71 ounces of marijuana, and an illegal weapon (a knife with a brass-knuckles handle).
