William H. Brown, 2008 President of the California Association of Realtors was the guest speaker at the Humboldt Association of Realtors General Membership meeting held recently at the Baywood Golf & Country Club in Arcata. More than 110 Realtors and affiliate members listened as President Brown, a broker/owner from Oakland, addressed state and current market conditions emphasizing the state association’s efforts to get legislation passed, including economic stimulus and housing bills.

Six Realtors and six affiliate organizations were welcomed as new members of the Association. Nine Realtors were recognized for their continuous membership and service to the local, state and national associations of Realtors for 25 years or more.

The Humboldt Association of Realtors provides ongoing education, training, information and support services to its members. In partnership with their business affiliates, they add value to the community by advocating private property rights, providing community service, and promoting quality of life. Realtors are dedicated to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
