On Saturday, Oct. 4, there will be a huge yard sale at the old Miranda Junior High campus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Surplus materials have been building up for many years and this year South Fork High School will be selling these surplus materials as a fundraiser. The materials are very diverse.

Some of the items being sold are: computer parts, computers, general kitchen supply including plates, cups, coffee makers, industrial kitchen pots, pans and other utensils, sewing machines with tables, electric ranges, office supply including desk top calendar holders and plastic filing systems, office furniture including desks, tables and filing cabinets, lots and lots of books, large shelves, old science equipment, old art supplies including old photographic equipment and old textbooks (1980-2001).

This will be a one-of-a-kind sale. This is a very appropriate sale for anybody in the restaurant business, anybody who has a large office, anybody who is starting a business, anybody who is a life-long-learner (lots of books!), anybody who is a collector of odd or old things, or anybody who wants to help South Fork High School.

In addition, space will be rented out so that people can use this opportunity to sell their own goods. This

space will be rented on a first come, first served basis. More information on this part will follow as more helpers sign up.

Proceeds will go to the science department, business department, art department, the cafeteria and our library.
