This letter is in response to the article regarding the new housing project in the Oct. 15 Redwood Times on Page A3.
Our county officials and our supervisor discuss issues and concerns Melville residents have raised since the first shovel of dirt was removed; concerns and issues we were told we wouldn’t face or denied were even there.
Concerns and issues that these officials have had for many years to foresee the many problems from allowing Dave Winters and his partner to do what they want without any concern for their neighbors.
Concerns and issues that weren’t there before our new neighbor moved in.
So while our officials discuss the issues and concerns they even to this day won’t confirm or deny, Melville residents are now discussing different options - legal remedies, moving away, our fears, our anger, and the new vision for Garberville that our officials are going to force us to see or move on.
It’s a shame, but Garberville has been really going to pot lately.
