I was literally driven out of my house by the noise from the block party Thursday from early afternoon past 10 p.m.
I even tried to talk to Josh Sweet, who was responsible for the whole thing, about turning the volume down. He said, "Oh, it might go down a couple of decibels, but it’s not going down much. Besides I don’t have anything to say about it. It’s all SHC."
Not true, the whole thing was his baby. One person connected with it had the decency to go have the bass turned down “a notch” but it still rattled my closed windows, made the noise inside the apartments unbearable and was soon all the way back up to the max.
A reliable source told me that Sweet was supposed to get all the immediate neighbors’ signed consent. Instead he only got the professionals who have businesses adjacent to the square to sign it and snubbed the residents. Note to those professional healers, if you ever okay another one you are not healers, you are bad neighbors who live elsewhere. One of the real neighbors had heart surgery this year, one has cancer, and one is elderly and on oxygen. Most of us are advanced in our years. All that I talked to have expressed extreme annoyance. I explained this to Sweet. He didn’t care.
There have been party/concerts here in the past that we have all enjoyed immensely. This one, however, was a study in the complete lack
