Heart of the Redwoods Community Hospice has many thanks to give to everyone who helped make our Taste of the Cove fundraiser an amazing success. It takes a lot of people to put on an event of this size, so our list is a long one:
First, thanks to this great community that we live in for your outpouring of love and support. We couldn’t do what we do without your help, and it is greatly appreciated.
Also, thanks to Susan Lawsky for organizing our army of volunteers - there are too many to name, but we thank each and every one of you. Many hands make for light work, and a lot of fun as well.
In addition, we would like to thank the following individuals, businesses, and organizations for their generous support: Thanks to Linda Winkler for working so hard to obtain all the fish, to all the fishermen who donated their catch, to Pat O’Shea who donated the rest, and to Dena Baker for providing freezer space. Thanks to Joe Collins, Jim Shiraishi, Joe Hiney, Drew, and Steve Mitchell for filleting all the fish and to Briceland Winery for the use of their facilities, and thanks to the Flaming Chefs who grilled it to perfection.
Thanks to Katie Pasquini-Masopust for her exquisite quilt for our Quilt Raffle, to Marcy Woods-Wilke for organizing the Pure Indulgence Raffle and to all those who donated the prizes: Pierson Building Center, Sylvandale Gardens, Hohstadt’s, Redwood Gardens, Dazey’s Supply, Humboldt Hunnies, Bombshells Beauty Bar, Pacific Lotus, Evolve Salon, Hallie, Sandy Feretto, and Donna King.
Thanks to Ray Bevitori and Sol Nation for the great music, to Jeanne York for sound, and to Ben Wilke for providing a generator so we could hear it.
Thanks to Eric Bowles for running the bar, to Andrew, Dolan, and Hayden Dillon for recycling, to Bobby G and the Cove Rats Motorcycle Club for helping with set-up and parking, to Bette Etter for the beautiful centerpieces, and also to Datso Perkins for the bounce house, and to Harold Neufeld, Zack Etter and everyone else who helped to set up beforehand and take down afterwards. Thanks also goes to the BLM for use of the site, to Just Rent It for the tables, Spring and Justin Cogswell for pop-ups, and to Six Rivers Portable Toilets. If we have left anyone out, please forgive us.
Julia Anderson, Jane Gund, Mary Neufeld, Brian Harper, Ben Wilke, Mark Speer, and Joe Whitney for Heart of the Redwoods Community Hospice
