On behalf of the directors of the Weott Community Services District and the residents of Weott we would like to extend our thanks to the staff and inmates at the Eel River Conservation Camp for all the assistance you have given our community over the years.
We are particularly grateful for your recent assistance with our water emergency. The leaking pipe bringing our water from under the South Fork of the Eel was buried over 16 feet deep in the east bank of the river. It took a tremendous effort on the part of the inmate crew to dig down the 16 feet using hand tools to expose the pipe so that it could be patched. Without your efforts, the community would have lost our source of drinking water.
We greatly appreciate all the help you have given us over the years in assisting us with brush clearing and clean-up projects but the effort that was extended to unearth the leaking pipe was truly exceptional. Please accept our thanks - we are truly grateful.
