To the Editor:

I wholeheartedly support John Casali’s effort to clean up the trash on our riverbank and roadways. For years John has cleaned up trash at his own expense and got little thanks in return.

Most of this garbage left on the road is nothing but trash - period.

If people out there living on the river are truly homeless by necessity or choice, my God man, clean up your act. Even dogs don’t crap where they sleep.

I don’t mean to be heartless but this has gotten to an endemic proportion. If you have seen some of the photos of the magnitude of this problem you would be sick. John is doing the best he can and he deserves the support of the community.
