To the Editor:

Thank you for lending a hand at the treasure hunt we call “The Healy Giant Yard Sale.” It is astounding the amount of work and effort it takes to put on an event of that caliber. We truly appreciate your support and acknowledge that we could not have done it without you.

What a nice opportunity to work side by side, get to know each other better. What a great way to give your old stuff a home and buy others peoples stuff that you may need, but definitely want. Great stuff changes hands, and the senior center gets to continue to serve our community through nutrition programs for seniors.

Homebound seniors get a hot lunch delivered five days a week, frozen meals are prepared for you to take home or bring to a neighbor, and hot lunch is served in our dining room Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Social recreational and volunteer opportunities are created. That is what we made happen the last weekend in August for sixteen years. The effort will last us the whole year.

Thank you to these helpful individuals: Jim Hoeffer, Don Orazem, De-Anne Hooper, Evelyn and Everett King, Evan King, Gary Wellborn, Heather Gathmann, Susan Gupton, Jack Foster, Estelle Fennel, Bernice "Whitey" Fladen, Dan and Patti Healy, Ed Allor, Bonnie Allor, Pleasure, Richard Pope, John and Serena Lehman, Moises and Alicia Lopez, Belle and Fred Baron, Smokin’ Moses Danzer, Eric Arcos, Irmgard Haskins, Janet Macleod, Harolyn Grace Bukur, Joyce Dean, Jackie Bryant, Sidonie and Ralph French, Sandra Reed, Marc Arceneaux, Sisco Torres, Erin Myer, Greg Darst, Linda Peterson, Stephanie, Jim Field, John Lines, Douglas Rose, Stephen Quiggle, Ted and Gladys Madsen, Grace and Allen Lindsley, Richard Valentine, Brenda Allen, Judi Gonzales, Patti Lagrange, Ken Radovich, Eric and Louis Barnes, Rich Thompson, Alan Billinger, Keith Gifford and Kazumi Kawagoshi, Michelle Welty, Kathleen and Soleil Escamilla, Michelle LaVallee, Susan Ostheim, Starla Widner, David Widner, Maxx and Bella Sherr, Natalie Roberts, Ishua Pacheco, Elijah Roberts, John Radenbaugh, Patrick Daugherty, Mark Royal, Tori Stepp, Gloria Smith, Margo McReynolds, and Chris Benavides.
