We have received word on just how well we did on Saturday, Aug. 18. According to Jo Anna Leppek-Davis, the donor recruiter for Northern California Community Blood Bank (NCBB), our results were “absolutely phenomenal.” They saw a grand total of 81 donors and received 63 units of blood in one day.
We hope that more faith-based groups will join in, and we will be able to do even better next year.
This year Crescent City saw 17 donors and got 14 units, McKinleyville saw 21 donors and got 19 units, Eureka saw 21 donors and got 12 units and Fortuna saw 22 donors and got 18 units.
This was ‘phenomenal’ as Jo Anna Leppek-Davis says, and our hope is to do better in the future both with helping the blood bank and with bringing faith-based groups together in a good cause.
