To the Editor:

The amount the Palo Verde FPD wants from property owners (taxpayers) is $150.00 per year for each improved parcel and $75.00 for each unimproved parcel. In addition, these amounts will increase year after year and Measure C has no expiration date.

More often than not, parcel tax and local bond issue elections, where taxpayers’ money is at stake, (hospital, school, fire protection measures) are scheduled at such times that people forget to vote. Let this not happen to you this time around.

Now is the time to say no to yet another parcel tax. Once it shows up on your property tax bill it is too late to do anything about it.

Vote no on Measure C.

Return your ballot promptly by mail - it must be at the elections office by August 28, 2012 - no postage is necessary.
